Sony handheld to be positioned as a mobile communications device
Sony Europe and telecoms provider BT have struck a deal to provide PSP users with access to a wide range or wi-fi internet services, including VOIP telephone calls.
The four-year deal will allow PSP owners to make video calls, voice calls and send messages from any wi-fi connection, including public BT wi-fi hotspots.
“The opportunity to combine our market leading expertise with BT’s knowledge in communications opens up many possibilities and we look forward to bringing many exciting communication functions to PSP fans,” SCEE president David Reeves said.
