MORE proof that mobile advertising is very much the in-thing: the Mobile Marketing Association has formed an EMEA chapter.
The new Europe, Middle East and Africa branch brings together more than 150 brands, agencies and industry players under the chairmanship of Richard Saggers, head of mobile advertising for Vodafone Group. The chairs of current national chapters will receive one seat on the EMEA board.
The MMA EMEA charter is to build a sustainable ecosystem for mobile marketing in the region and develop best practices, education programmes and universal codes of conduct.
Saggers said: “The timing is ideal to bring together key players from brands, agencies, vendors and mobile operators under one body, working towards a common goal. The committee spans key elements of the value chain and will be at the forefront of this dynamic industry.”
