M1 launches classified ads

Mobile advertising isn't just about FMCGs - Singapore's M1 has launched a multimedia classified ads service.
mClassified, powered by a platform from Clearhub, enables M1 customers to post classified advertisements on the MiWorld Mobile content portal.
In addition to text descriptions, sellers can take photographs or video clips of their stuff and attach them to the ads.
Categories include mobile, fashion, gadgets, lifestyle, property and cars. Buyers can also set up real-time SMS alerts and be notified whenever there are new classified postings that match their interests.
M1 customers can post ads for free for a limited period, with a fee of S$1.00 per posting to charged thereafter.
There are no data charges for the uploading and download of images and videos.
Sharon Tan, M1’s director of consumer marketing, said : "Our trendy young Singaporeans are often quick to change their mobile phones, music players and other fashion accessories to keep up with the times. Hence, there is potential for mClassified to become a virtual marketplace for this community to buy and sell their personal items and gadgets conveniently."
