Opera Telecom has re-launched as OITG in a fresh drive to develop voice, mobile and IP revenues for its clients.
Birmingham-based OITP (Opera Interactive Technology Group) has been a provider of mobile media, billing, telephony and technology services for many years. Its global turnover for this year is forecast to be £120 million and it employs 120 people across five continents.
In its new guise, the company has added three new brands in order to serve all media and communication sectors: Opera Interactive will focus on media, print and television; Opera Radio Services will develop ideas in radio; and Opera Technology Services will look after all infrastructure issues within the group.
The company will remain strong in mobile. It has direct connections into all major operators in the UK and Ireland for SMS, MMS and voice shortcodes, offers an SMS PIN payment system that lets people make a purchase without the use of a credit card and is active in mobile marketing with a platform called Dragon. It also has an integrated IVR platform that provides 13,000 lines of call-handling.
