Gofresh is now attracting 100 million monthly page impressions on its mobile internet community, itsmy.com.
The service offers every phone user in the world their own itsmy.com mobile web page, in which they can store and share pics, videos, contacts and messages. Each month the traffic is nearly doubling. Users come from more than 100 countries, with the strongest growth being currently recorded in North America and Europe – especially in UK, Italy and Romania – and South Africa.
Munich-based Gofresh says the most popular applications on the service are: private messaging, browsing, user profiles, up/downloading of user generated content, and personalising the home page. It also reveals that the most popular upload channel for user generated content is mobile: 80 per cent through MMSs, 16 per cent via direct upload and 4 per cent via mobile mail.
Mikko Saarelainen, head of mobile content at Gofresh, believes the site’s popularity could be a pull to advertisers. He said: "We see a very high marketing and advertising potential with our new itsmyTV-service, a TV show combining all elements of itsmy´s philosophy: the up-to-date content of active, mobile customers combined with personalized advertisement. Ads don´t have to be dull and annoying in the eyes of the users, they can also enrichen the user experience."
