Bling prems Ajax client for mob

Bling Software hopes to make web-to-mobile content porting a whole lot easier with the first Ajax-based downloadable client for mobile.
Ajax speeds up web pages by exchanging small amounts of data behind the scenes, so that the page does not have to be reloaded each time the user requests a change. It’s been used expansively by Google, Youtube and others.
Bling’s innovation is to make Ajax apps that are small enough to be distributed over the air to consumers. The Bling Player reduces the time, cost and complexity of developing state of the art mobile applications. The company claims content owners can create them in a matter of days for mass distribution.
Bling Software is setto create apps for its existing customers including Jay-Z, Ninja Mobile, The Onion, Amp'd and GoTV Networks.
But it believes all kinds of media brands will employ the platform for their own data-rich applications.
Roy Satterthwaite, CEO of Bling Software, said: "We've unlocked the world's largest applications market. We removed the barriers so virtually any content owner can provide the mobile consumer a superior user experience."
David Bluhm, CEO of GoTV, added: "Bling Software allows us to create a better user experience while also getting to market much faster. With Bling, our mobile video portals can be created by anyone with a web development background so we can focus 100 per cent on creating a better user experience."
