A new online service dedicated to giving UK consumers the lowdown on mobile content goes live this morning.
Pocketpicks.co.uk will bring average Joe's everywhere news, previews, hands-on tests and 'how tos' exclusively dedicated to mobile content.
In an industry that receives little coverage in the mainstream media and where content providers generally bemoan the lack of exposure to end users, the arrival of Pocketpicks.co.uk is timely to say the least.
Chris James, MD of Pocketpicks publisher Steel Media, said: "There’s so much going on in the world of mobile content, but you wouldn’t know it unless you looked hard.
In contrast to the general disinterest from the established media, Pocket Picks will be banging on the door of mobile content producers to get all the latest on upcoming mobile TV trials, mobile video releases, user-created content initiatives and everything else you can do with your phone besides making voice calls."
Pocket Picks has been put together by the same team as Pocketgamer.co.uk and is edited by Stuart Dredge, previously of Informa.
