Player X has bagged mobile video rights to Fox’s American Dad, the top rated animated TV show in the US last year.
The deal initially grants Player X exclusive UK distribution, though other European territories are expected to be added to the agreement over the coming months.
Player X is the process of building out its video offering, which includes English Premiership football highlights. In recent months the company has signed up cult animation Pucca from Jetix, the Jonny Internet series and award-winning short film Killer Klaus.
It also has an exclusive relationship with Zonemedia for Zone Reality video clips.
Tony Pearce, Player X CEO, said: "We believe mobile video is going to utterly transform the mobile entertainment market and the content we've selected is going to be a winning proposition for our distribution network of more than 80 global operators."
