Users will be able to top up prepay accounts with new service.
Mobile consumers will now be able to top up their prepay accounts via O2’s Wallet, following the launch of a new top up service, Mobile Magazine has reported.
The new service is available to anyone who has downloaded the Wallet app and is designed to work across all networks. Users will be able to top up their account with any amount between £10 and £50.
The announcement follows the launch of O2’s Train Travel service earlier this year, which allows customers to check train times and purchase tickets.
James Le Brocq, managing director of O2 Money, commented: “Our future lies in becoming a trusted provider of brilliant digital experiences. Last year we started that journey with the launch of O2 Wallet, which gave us the platform to start to build value added services.
“Our customers’ needs are changing so we need to ensure we’re offering more digital solutions to make their lives easier, for example how they top up a Pay & Go mobile. This new top-up service as part of the O2 Wallet app offers a quick and easy way to add credit to an account with minimal fuss, giving you more time to spend doing the things you love.”
