Who are these app developers? A strange race of geniuses from another planet, or are they one of us?
This infographic from the Wall Street Journal, was used at Enterprise Appsworld during a presentation from Betfair, and although it is quite generalising and may not count for all of you devs out there – I still thought it was interesting.
Apparently on average (40 per cent), creators of apps are young males who don’t really make much money… Maybe I should be a developer.
Just to clarify, by young it means 29 years old or younger.
34 per cent make less than $15,000 from app development, and only 12 per cent make $100,000 or more.
40 per cent work alone… That is upsetting – not only are they young and poor, but they are lonely. This isn’t painting the best of pictures really?
