45 per cent of viewers have previously used smartphones for posting status, picture or video updates during the big match.

Mobile ad network Mojiva has revealed some key insights into the habits of smartphone users when watching the prestigious Super Bowl final.

The following infographic looks at how engaged viewers are with the game, how they will be using their smartphones throughout and the overall effectiveness of half-time ad slots.

56 per cent of respondents said that they plan to use their smartphone during this year’s Super Bowl final, of which 21 per cent will use it to update social networking sites and 26 per cent to communicate with others about the game.

Meanwhile, 45 per cent claimed to have used their smartphones to post status, picture or video updates to social networking sites in previous years.
