152,000 total 'blipps' made to Olympics-focused edition.
Last week, fashion-centric magazine Stylist partnered AR specialist Blippar to create its first ever interactive issue, which showed Team GB’s synchronised swimming team performing a choreographed routine.
Seven per cent (or 26,500) of readers used Blippar on the Olympics edition of the title, generating more than 152,000 blipps – an average of 5.8 each.
Stylist fans were able to inject life into 21 of 64 pages by holding the Blippar app over them, with more than 70,000 blipps hit on the day the issue.
Lisa Smosarski, editor, Stylist, said: "We knew this issue needed to be special to celebrate one of the biggest moments in modern British history and Blippar offered us the opportunity. We could never have predicted the strength of the reader response, but the outstanding statistics speak for themselves."
Jessica Butcher, co-founder and CMO of Blippar, said: "This very special edition of the magazine showcases how Blippar provides a bridge to connect readers to publishers’ and advertisers’ own digital content platforms for further brand engagement and richer product experiences."
