Scott Seaborn departs Ogilvy for XS2

Leaves agency world to become exec creative director of growing marketing and app firm.

Netherlands-based XS2 has made award winning apps for Cathay Pacific, McDonald’s, Porsche, HSBC, Fanta and Guinness. It recently scooped a Cannes Silver Lion in the inaugural mobile category at last month’s festival.

But this is still a big switch for Seaborn, who had a very nice gig as head of mobile at Ogilvy – one of the world's biggest ad agencies.

He says the quality of the creative work swayed him. “I’m delighted to be joining such a brilliant agency as XS2, which really seems to ‘get’ what mobile in the 2010s is all about – connected media," he said.

"Its technological offer has also always been top-notch and I’m looking forward to marrying together the creative and tech sides of the business to be able to offer our clients an unrivalled service in mobile. Where creative meets technology we find real value for clients and consumers."

In his five-year stint at Ogilvy, Seaborn headed the team that won acclaim for mobile campaigns such as Fanta Stealth Sound System and the IBM Wimbledon ‘Seer’ application.
