Intuit buys AisleBuyer

Pays an estimated $100m for the m-commerce specialist.

Intuit is the financial services giant behind huge products like Quickbooks and Turbotax. But like all such companies, it's eyeing mobile closely.

It already launched the GoPayments solution, which like Square gives small merchants a dongle that turns a phone or tablet into a card reader.

Now it''s swooped for AisleBuyer. The latter specialises in giving retailers tools through which to deliver targeted product recommendations and offers to smartphone users inside stores or on the go.

These tools include the mShop app for scanning barcodes, reading customer reviews and making purchases.
