InMobi buys app monetisation startup MMTG Labs

Mobile ad giant makes the swoop to offer additional support to partners.

InMobi is expanding its 700+ staff headcount yet again, this time with the acquisition of MMTG Labs, which will join the ad network's San Francisco HQ.

The newly purchased startup is behind two platforms, which InMobi will adapt to offer clients added services:

*AppGalleries.com – a platform that offers search discovery and monetisation support for white label app stores, connecting them to mobile sites.

* Appbistro – helps developers, businesses, and brands make the most from Facebook business apps.

Naveen Tewari, founder and CEO,  InMobi, said: "MMTG Labs fits nicely in our overall strategy to continue to deliver best of breed technology and services to our developers and publisher partners. We are very excited to welcome the highly talented team from MMTG Labs to the InMobi family."

Ryan Merket, founder and CEO at MMTG Labs, added: "At MMTG Labs our mission is to help developers and brands increase downloads by giving publishers the tools to highlight applications that are highly contextual and relevant to their communities. We couldn’t have picked a better partner to help us quickly expand our presence globally."
