Mobile-only bookings platform HotelTonight works on a last minute basis by offering rooms at a discounted rate. With that in mind, the company has produced a Valentine's Day infographic that details loving mobile usage, and spontaneous romantic ideas.
It shows that 60 per cent of Valentine's spending happens on the day itself or two days before, which is likely why 40 per cent of smartphone users use their devices to shop for gifts – desperately attempting to locate presents on the move.
Meanwhile, a pub crawl for two and board games are some of the alternative dating options that have been put forward. What's more, HotelTonight has listed its most romantic properties, with most providing a surprise upon arrival.
