And the iPhone nailed 25 per cent.
Shopping app Catalog Spree has surveyed its users to determine their preferred means of digital shopping.
It found that mobile devices now account for 14 per cent of all e-commerce and that, within this sub-section, iOS represents 75 per cent. This breaks down into 50 per cent for the iPad, and 25 per cent for the iPhone.
Meanwhile, 62 per cent of women (mostly between 25-54) make iPad-based shopping trips, compared to 38 per cent of men.
California is the highest shopping area by state with 12.9 per cent, while NYC is the largest US city that drives traffic on the Apple tablet.
