Video of man indulging in some back door dildo action mistakenly appears as one of Vine’s Editors Picks.
Just one week after launching, Twitter’s somewhat controversial Vine video sharing platform has truly surpassed itself by featuring a video of a man enjoying an anal dildo insertion as one if its first Editors Picks.
Designed to allow Twitter users to share looping video clips of up to six seconds, Vine has been met with controversy in its first week of existence after all manner of sexually explicit videos began appearing. And, due to Twitter’s firm stance on non-censorship, none of the racy footage has been or will be removed.
However, if Twitter was hoping for Vine to be viewed as more than merely a smut forum, then it didn’t do itself any favours when one of its Editors Picks arrived in the form of a man anally receiving a dildo.
The video was swiftly removed, with a Twitter spokesperson blaming “human error” for its appearance: "A human error resulted in a video with adult content becoming one of the videos in Editor's Picks, and upon realising this mistake we removed the video immediately. We apologize to our users for the error."
While there are no restrictions as to the content that can be posted on Vine, videos are currently being regulated by a function that allows users to mark videos as inappropriate.
We wait with baited breath for Vine’s next Editors Pick.
