New title will hit mobiles throughout the year as part of a 'phased roll out'.
Disney is continually pumping digital campaigns out. The entertainer most recently teamed Blippar for an AR Wreck-It Ralph promo, while it donated money to charity via its Fairies app and launched a digital games portal.
The firm now partners Avalanche Software to reveal Disney Infinity, a cross-platform game that will roll onto mobiles throughout the year and hit consoles in the summer.
Users are tasked with completing adventures as numerous Disney and Pixar characters, like Captain Jack Sparrow and Mr Incredible, across existing worlds from the franchise, as well as ones of their own design.
John Pleasants, co-president, Disney Interactive, said: "Disney Infinity introduces a new way to interact with the best of Disney on one game platform, both now and in the future.
"With this innovative approach to gaming, Disney Infinity will bring to life new characters, stories and environments from The Walt Disney Company over time in a way that will delight fans and gamers alike."
