News giant to deliver sports, celebrity and entertainment content for future apps.

Caperfly was created by former execs from UK games publisher Codemasters with a mission to develop apps and services for mobile and smart TV platforms.

The founders reckon they've hit on a unique formula that combines gameplay with social elements that chime with real life events.

ME met them last month, but was unable to eek out any more than that. So full details of exactly what the formula is won't emerge until Caperfly releases its first products later this year.

What we do know is that there will be iOS, Android and emerging Smart TV platform apps powered by Caperfly's data aggregation technology Consequences.

The new agreement ensures high quality sports, celebrity and entertainment content in some of these apps.

Bryan Marshall, COO of Caperfly, said: “This deal underlines our commitment to deliver high-quality, original interactive experiences that uniquely combine real-time data and compelling gameplay.

"We expect this ‘evergreen’ approach to updating content in our applications to provide a game-life longevity advantage over our competitors.”

“We’re excited by the opportunity to work with the Press Association to deliver their renowned editorial expertise to our users.”
