New smartphone boasts the world’s largest and thinnest HD display.
Sony has today (June 25th) unveiled the latest addition to its Xperia smartphone range with the launch of the Xperia Z Ultra, which it claims will bring about the ‘next revolution in premium large-screen Android smartphone entertainment’.
The new waterproof device measures in at a whopping 6.4-inches and is the first ever smartphone to incorporate a full HD TRILUMINOS display. This is powered by Sony’s latest X-Reality picture engine, which is designed to deliver a deeply immersive viewing experience.
Elsewhere, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra features a fully integrated Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2.2 GHz quad-core CPUs, 4GLTE and HD voice functionality.
It also the world’s slimmest full HD smartphone, weighing just 212g and housed in a solid metal frame.

Sony’s latest smartphone offering will be available globally from Q3 2013.
