Teams with Toon Goggles to produce exclusive app.

Sony has enlisted online kids channel Toon Goggles to produce an exclusive app for Xperia smartphones, enabling owners to pacify their children by plying them with cartoons when on the move.

Interestingly, the app will run localised language support, featuring German, French, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. This is the second time the company has partnered with Sony, having produced content for the Sony Tablet S and Sony Tablet P.

Stephen L. Hodge, MD Toon Goggles, said:  "It is certainly a compliment for us to be teaming-up with Sony again. As we start localising our content to meet the international demand, we see this as a good match for Sony’s line of Xperia smartphones.

"We are not only continuously seeking to be the distribution platform for international producers seeking exposure in the North American market, but we are enriching our children’s online TV platform to meet their own regional needs with localised programming."
