Awkward adolescent device not sure how pubic it is.
Home Simpson once spoke of his joy at discovering a meal between breakfast and brunch. In a similar vein, it appears that LG has fashioned a device somewhere between tablet and phone.
Of course, this is hardly new. The Samsung Galaxy Note occupies a similar 'phablet' slot, as does the HTC Titan.
But it's a first for LG, although the Android-based Vue is slightly smaller than the 5.3 inch Note. However, it does have a 1024-by-768 pixel hi-res screen, a 1.5 Ghz dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera and 32GB internal memory.
It also describes the Vue as as “the slimmest among all LTE phones currently on the market and is perfectly suited for a hand and fits comfortably in a jacket pocket.”
The Optimus Vue launches in March 2012 in Korea. No word on any launch in other countries.
