A line-up system has been created to avoid any possibility of a crash.
The demand for BBM on the new platforms has soared, as around six million people pre-registered to get the app, and more than one million already found ways to “side-load” it on their iPhone.
The mass interest meant that BBM had to organize a line-up system, to better manage the demand and a smooth roll out was ensured.
Users must download the app and sign up, join the queue, and once they’ve reached the front they may begin using BBM’s services.
On average BBM customers use the chat service 90 minutes a day, collectively sending and receiving more than 10 billion messages each day.
