Partner to develop the Baby Weaning App.
Parenting website MadeForMums has launched the world's first baby weaning app in association with Heinz Baby.
Previous research from Flurry has shown that our mother-dears spend most of their time playing games on their mobiles, but maybe this app will spark a new interest in doing something a little more productive with their devices…
The development of these kind of mobile health and lifestyle apps is increasing, and tackling what appears to be a niche in the parental app market, such as the app from Huggies which supports parents with potty training.
Mobile technology is also playing a large part of becoming a parent with a hospital in Hollywood using iPads to help mothers bond with their newborns.
It's understandable - to an extent for us men - that being a mum for the first time can be a daunting and scary time, so it won't be a surprise if this app is welcomed with open arms, alongside sleepless nights.
The Baby Weaning App collates 193 healthy weaning recipes, a daily 26 week meal planner, 106 expert articles and a 'one-click' shopping list function all to assist the apples of their eye from desiring booby food.
Susie Boone, editorial director at Immediate Media Parenting Portfolio, said: "With this app, our aim is to inspire parents in the kitchen by providing easy-cook heathy recipe ideas and six months of daily meal planners - plus satisfy hungry (or fussy) babies with tasty, healthy food."
If things don't go to plan, and we realise our spoilt little ones aren't taking to any suggested diet plan, there is 'what to do and buy' section to guide mummies in the right direction.
Heinz Baby Club nutritional experts give advice to ensure that every child gets the correct nutritional balance. However, it's questionable if 'give them Heinz Baked Beans' would be the best advice, but it would be a great marketing ploy.
Baby Weaning App is available on iOS for iPhone and iPad now.
