All lawsuits to be scrapped as part of ten-year license agreement.
Lawsuits are a key part of any global corporation's diet, and Apple and HTC have certainly had their fill. The rivals have been suing and counter-suing each other for over a year, crying foul play against each other for wi-fi and touchscreen patents.
That's a thing of the past now, with Apple posting an official announcement to say that the companies have buried the hatchet and signed a ten-year license agreement and global settlement to dismiss all lawsuits.
Peter Chou, CEO of HTC, said: "HTC is pleased to have resolved its dispute with Apple, so HTC can focus on innovation instead of litigation."
Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, said: "We are glad to have reached a settlement with HTC. We will continue to stay laser focused on product innovation."
