Math mystery games designed especially or girls.
The debut release of Kata Enterprises, an emerging developer of math 'edutainment' software for girls, takes the math lesson into space in Mission: MATH - Sabotage at the Space Station.
The game takes place on Space Station Prime, where S.M.A.R.T agent Delta has docked to find chaos. Players take the roll of Agent Delta's assistant, Junior Agent Star where they must repair the station using just their math knowledge.
Kata Enterprises lets players take the reigns of what they hope is a positive female role model, giving them the freedom to explore, play and learn at the same time. The chosen avatar is completely customisable before she is taken into a universe of puzzles and challenges based around fractions, decimals, bar graphs, factors and multiples, with full tutorials for every level.
Mission: MATH - Sabotage at the Space Station is the first in a series of education games that will help players to attain math, science and technology literacy at all stages of education.
So even if learning is the last thing on their minds, S.M.A.R.T Adventures will hopefully encourage more interest in education by making it a little more fun than 1+1.
