Adoption rate of 'the world's most advanced operating system' made in 24 hours.
The iPhone 5 is on sale from today, while new software iOS 6 was available as of Wednesday (September 19th) and Chitika Insights reports that 15 per cent of iOS users have already upgraded their devices.
The swift adoption of Apple's self-proclaimed "world's most advanced operating system" happened within 24 hours.
However, users are less than impressed with the platform's Google Maps replacement on iOS 6, which has scattered towns into the wrong locations.
The data was calculated from iOS ad impressions on the Chitika network between the 19th and 20th, with a surge of iOS 6 clicks taking place during that time. Prior to launch, developers were the only ones with access to the platform.
Comparatively, it has taken Android Ice Cream Sandwich almost a year to penetrate 20.9 per cent of devices.
