The Android powered seven-inch device will be sold for a tiny £49

The easy to use, family-friendly tablet, only available from Carphone Warehouse is made for everyday activities such as surfing the web, social networking, apps, videos and music.

“Like every other tablet then?” I hear you say, yes except this one is £49, the cheapest tablet to ever hit the shelves.

Graham Stapleton, UK chief executive at Carphone Warehouse, said: “Our Android powered seven-inch tablet smashes right through the previous lowest priced tablets and is perfect for families and anyone wanting a modern, portable tablet at a bargain price.”

The tablet benefits from wi-fi connectivity, audio connections, an in-built e-Book reader and front facing camera that can be used as a webcam for Skype or taking pictures.

The dirt-cheap tablet – that will take on the like of the Tesco Hudl and Argos’ MyTablet – is available in store while stocks last.
