Thorsten Heins ‘very excited’ about new device.
With the BlackBerry Z10 still relatively fresh off the production line, the firm’s CEO has confirmed that a new flagship device is on the way and that it could be released before the end of 2013.
Speaking to CNET, BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins said that he is “very excited” about the new flagship handset.
"There's one new product I'm really excited about, but I can't really share it," he commented, "It takes BlackBerry 10 to another level in terms of the user experience."
Heins also indicated that an additional BlackBerry device could arrive by mid-2013.
Elsewhere, BlackBerry has today (March 22nd) officially released its Z10 handset in the US, whilst also celebrating the 100,000 milestone for the firm's app store, which users can now browse and download from.
The firm also revealed that more than 30,000 apps have been added to its available catalogue in just seven weeks.
