Becomes the fastest-growing mobile game to date.

Imangi Studios released Temple Run sequel, Temple Run 2, on January 17th and the title has already broke records by reaching 50m downloads in just 13 days.

The widespread adoption of the addictive title across iOS and Android has seen it become the fastest-growing mobile game to date, snatching the crown from Angry Birds Space, which reached 50m downloads in 35 days. Draw Something was the previous leader with 50m in 50 days.

Broken down, Temple Run 2 was downloaded from the App Store 6m times in fewer than 24 hours and quickly become the number one free app, also topping the Google Play and Amazon Marketplace.

The original Temple Run, meanwhile, has been downloaded more than 170m times.

Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi, said: "Temple Run has evolved into something so much bigger than us. The game has performed beyond our wildest dreams, and we are thrilled that gamers and fans have embraced Temple Run 2 in such a short period of time."
