Brain-training for toddlers on iOS from the affable spook.
Educational app developer Mindshapes has produced the app starring Casper the friendly ghost, as the transparent teacher of the memory game.
The app has been designed to build the short term memory and creativity of children aged three to seven.
Available on iPad, iPhone and iPod, the app teaches the toddler object recognition and memory recall through a number of tasks that involve mixing and matching Halloween costumes for Casper and friends.
As the child progresses, the difficulty will also progress to aid development and follow Mindshapes’ “Five Is": Imaginative, Immersive, Intelligent, Interactive and Intuitive.
James Peak, Mindshapes education manager, said: "An effective short term memory is a critical element of mental agility and is associated with higher intelligence.
"We wanted to create a game using a character that children knew and could easily remember. Casper is the perfect choice to engage children in this charming memory-based, dressing up game and its launch timing is a great choice for Halloween fun."
Casper’s Scare School - Costume Closet costs £1.99 and is available here.
Mindshapes has earned global recognition for its products and was named among the ME Top 50 Mobile Innovators in August.
