Zappar-designed interactive content will offer fundraising ideas, videos, and more.
Comic Relief has sniffed in the digital air for Red Nose Day 2013, teaming with augmented reality specialist Zappar to launch a mobile campaign for the biyearly charity.
The Fun Raisers, Comic Relief's batch of celebrity promoters, have been embedded into the virtual content, which can be accessed via the Zappar Android/iOS app when users point their devices at official Red Nose Day advertising found in national papers and magazines.
Users will have access to videos, games, and fundraising ideas from stars including Jessie J, Keith Lemon, and Miss Piggy from The Muppets.
Malcolm Duffy, creative director at Comic Relief, said: "It’s wonderful that Zappar has agreed to help give supporters of the campaign even more exclusive content and lots of fun extras.
"We are always looking for new ways to raise awareness for the Red Nose Day campaign and Zappar’s augmented reality app has really helped us do that. In addition, it is an incredibly fun and innovative new way for people to get involved in the campaign and hopefully donate to the cause."
Red Nose Day 2013 takes place on March 15th.
