Berlin-based software firm sprylab looks to provide developers cost-effective solutions.
sprylab's new 'tripengine' SDK claims to offer developers producing location-based games a simplified solution that can easily integrates augmented reality and geolocation functionalities.
The software firm is marketing tripengine to authors, games designers and agencies, citing that in-depth programming knowledge isn't required due to engine's intuitive design.
Finished products will be downloadable from the tripventure iOS and Android app, a place where sprylab already has four of its own games stashed. A caveat of the platform, however, is that the location features will only work in select European cities including the likes of native Berlin, London, Paris, Rome, and more, restricting those outside of the continent.
Benjamin Kolb, MD of sprylab GmbH, said: "tripengine is a fantastic opportunity for app developers to implement their ideas and concepts. I don’t think it has ever been easier to stage a simple, location-based story than with tripengine.
"We also offer developers very interesting cooperation and licencing models for using tripengine. No matter whether you are a small team or an international publisher, we provide all interested parties with quick and easy access to tripengine."
