70 per cent of people in the US will also express their love via text.
With Valentine’s Day now upon us, many will be turning to their mobile to declare their love for that special, as a new survey from Acision reveals that mobile is playing an ever-increasing role on the most romantic day of the year.
According to the survey, a stonking 70 per cent of US consumers will text someone on Valentine’s Day to tell someone that they love them.
Meanwhile, Acision’s study also uncovered a somewhat more racy side to the Valentine’s Day behaviour of mobile users, with 66 per cent of respondents claiming that they will send a picture message to their Valentine.
Furthermore, 60 per cent admitted to flirting via mobile messaging, while 40 per cent owned up to sending a ‘naughty’ message to someone.
This penchant for mobile as a means of expressing one’s love and desires appears to be something of a growing trend, with the over 48 per cent of those surveyed favouring this more modern approach over the traditional method of exchanging cards.
