Tag the V40 commercial to sign up for a test drive, win an iPad mini and more.
Just last month, Shazam teamed with Ireland-based Adforce to launch Shazam for TV in the region, what with the service already operating in the US for more than 18 months.
The first product of the partnership is now on screens, with Volvo promoting its new V40 vehicle to offer viewers a higher form of engagement.
That means customers that tag the advert with Shazam will be directed to offers including test drives, V40 feature information, and the chance to win an iPad mini.
Miles Lewis, VP of advertising for Shazam, said: "Now, Shazam fans can extend their engagement beyond the 30-second adverts for a deeper, more interactive brand experience."
Patricia Greene, product and marketing manager at Volvo Car Ireland, said: "We are delighted to be the first brand in Ireland to be associated with TV Shazam. This is really exciting way of interacting with customers and gives an added dimension to standard advertising."
