Form an alliance to help with funding and advertising.
Crowd-funded app platform AppStori and mobile ad network Millennial Media have teamed to provide developers with production support from concept to arrival in app stores.
Eligible projects will secure $500 cash funding from AppStori and $500 advertising credit from Millennial to get the ball rolling and drive discovery.
Millennial will also provide a dedicated mentor to advise developers on the best way to monetise, promote and manage their new apps.
Trivi.al is among the successful designs, a social trivia app now available in the Apple App Store.
Matt Gillis, SVP of global monetisation solutions for Millennial Media, said: "At Millennial Media, we consider ourselves a partner to developers.
"There are developers out there that may have a million dollar idea, but simply don’t have the tools or resources to execute it. We want to enable these developers to realise their potential and build a business. Our partnership with AppStori is one more way we can help support those developers."
AppStori co-founders Arie Abecassis and Michael Semegran, said: "This partnership furthers our goal of becoming the breeding ground for great app ideas, where developers and consumers are empowered to create engaging mobile apps.
"We share Millennial’s vision and passion for innovation and creativity in the app economy."
More than 38,000 apps and sites currently use Millennial's rich media ad tools (mMedia), and the network will likely be expecting a surge in light of its new partnership.
