Its mobile games portfolio will increase to over 15 titles by the end of the year.
Since the release of its debut mobile games in the first half of 2012, Gameforge has gone from strength to strength and plans to increase its portfolio to 15 titles by the end of this year.
According to the IDC (International Data Corporation) the mobile industry offers the largest opportunities for growth for a company, so Gameforge’s announcement that its main focus will be on its mobile games sector comes as no surprise, and is actually an incredibly smart move.
Of the 49.2 million tablet and 428.8 million smartphone owners appearing in 2013, Gameforge has already claimed 12 million of them worldwide.
Andre Potgeter, CEO of Gameforge Mobile, said: “We managed to gain an understanding of the mobile markets mechanisms and to implement the experience we gained over ten years in the online free-to-play games sector.
“Our mobile division is currently recording enormous growth rates and I am convinced that this sector will soon be one of the most vital economic factors for Gameforge.”
One of its most recent retro mobile games, Cold Space - which received a 4.5 star rating on the App Store - is said to be the "beginning of a new generation of successful titles by Gameforge Mobile.”
