New app a one stop shop for all Thomson customers.
TUI Travel, a FTSE 100 company and owners of Thomson, has introduced a new iOS app for all Thomson customers entitled MyThomson, which is designed to serve as a one-stop shop for customers looking for information on their bookings.
The app was initially trialed in the second week of May, with more than 15,000 holidaymakers downloading the digital assistant. It went on to received a four-star average review rating and, on June 19th, became the #1 ranked app among the free travel apps chart in the Apple App Store, as well as a spot in the Top 20 free apps overall.
TUI Travel now expects the app to reach 50,000 downloads by the end of September.
MyThomson aims to provide information, such as flight number, luggage allowance details, maps, and current weather to help customers save time and prepare for their holiday with the minimum of fuss, while resort guides and the ability to book excursions – both before holidaying and on holiday –allow customers to quickly access information from their device.
The app also features a customer centric design, using dedicated tiles aimed at keeping you informed on one piece of information, along with live updates to enable users to quickly access information. Meanwhile, social integration lets users post to Twitter and Facebook directly from the app.
On the tech side of things, TUI Travel’s mobile experts teamed up with AKQA, Aditi Technologies, Appcelerator, and CRM partner Creator in order to deliver the app’s quick, responsive interface.
