ICM Registry started overseeing the public sale of adult .xxx domains at the end of 2011, and reports that affiliate network SexGoesMobile (SGM) has snapped up the Mobile.xxx name for $160,000.
ICM says SGM's purchase makes it the first fully integrated .xxx portal for mobile devices, while it will be used to peddle live cams, videos, and dating services in ten languages. Seemingly it's a smart move, as ICM says mobile devices accounted for 18 per cent of the last five million .xxx domain visits.
SGM's parent company, SGM Media, also bought 350 additional .xxx domains for other parts of its affiliate network.
