Offbeatr is exactly as the headline says: Kickstarter for porn projects.
And it's only natural for a service like this spring up, seeing as how Kickstarter isn't a fan of XXX projects.
However, because payment systems like Paypal also have strict zero-tolerance policies for anything adult, Offbeatr is currently working on its own proprietary online payment platform.
So, for now, projects can't accept funding, but the company says it's really close to being able to deliver the money shot.
Offbeatr operates like other crowdfunding sites, however on this one, before projects are able to bid for funding, they have to go through a testing process of sorts, whereby users vote and give feedback on whether they thinkits a good idea. The Offbeatr site says: "This helps Project Creators evaluate their project and hone their projects to offer things potential supporters want.
"Once a project receives the minimum number of votes this project will be eligible to collect money from the general public."
