AdultlyDeals.com offers up to 90 per cent daily discounts on lingerie, toys, and other adult products to US consumers. Membership is free, with all offers being pushed to an email address.
It all sounds very similar to the model pioneered so successfully by Groupon, LivingSocial and the rest. The site also offers rewards for referring to friends, and needless to say all products are packaged in discreet plain packaging.
The firm will no doubt be hoping that the private nature of the purchase will stimulate lots of activity, and that the site can replicate even a smidgeon of the success of Groupon, which went from zero to $1bn in turnover inside 18 months.
But some profit would be nice, which Groupon still hasn't managed.
